And Say: Oh My Lord Increase me in Knowledge (Qur’an 20:114)

The School has policies in place and the Head teacher will be responsible for the allocation of places to students at Olive. Our aim is to ensure that every child has fair access to the school.
An application form for the school can be obtained by calling into the school, or alternatively downloading from the website. All applicants will be required to submit an application form with a copy of the student’s current passport / Birth certificate and a current school report.  Unfortunately if the application is unsuccessful none of the items can be returned.

To process any application there is a NON REFUNDABLE admission fee of £150.

Usually around summer term, the prospective student and their parent will have the opportunity to see the premises, meet staff, and ask any questions about the curriculum provision in the school. On this day they will also pick up all their equipment including two sets of uniform, which has to be paid for at the time of the admission at a cost of £80.

Parents are advised that admission is granted to prospective pupils in the following order of priority:

·         Pupils with sisters/brothers at the school.

·         First come, first serve basis.

If students are placed on a waiting list parent/guardian will be informed of their position on the list. No priority shall be given to parents wishing to enrol their child after withdrawing from the waiting list, after refusing a place, or, having withdrawn their child partway through the academic year. In all of these cases the application will be treated as a new one, and so, the applicant will be placed at the end of the waiting list.

NB. Currently Olive Secondary School is unable to cater for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and for whom English is an additional language (EAL). Hence, such applicants will not be granted admission.

Every one of you people is a shepherd. And every one is responsible for whatever falls under his responsibility. A man is like a shepherd of his own family, and he is responsible for them."

Child Protection

The following couplet summarises the effect a parent has upon his/her child: The parent is like a mirror, the reflection it gives, the child adopts. If the reflection is good, the child is good. If the reflection is bad, the child is bad. The first and foremost desire of parents is to prepare their child for a bright and successful future.

Thus every parent hopes and wishes that their children be pious with excellent character but this can only be achieved if the correct method towards this goal is adopted and the right environment created from the very beginning

Why Us? Read it Yourself!

  • With a need for an Islam-compliant environment and quality education I arrived at Olive Secondary School in its early days of the year 2008. Olive provided me with the opportunity to study two sets of curriculum, allowing me to develop spiritually/morally and academically. Always being offered a personal concern and effort from the hardworking staff and school members is what has made this truly unique for me. And after 7 years, our journey at Olive comes to an end as students, as we leave with the best years of our life and the most precious of memories. Teaching more than just books, Olive is an outstanding place to learn.
